Check the wires

Using the laptop charger

• Check that the charger is firmly plugged into the wall/power strip and the computer
• Many chargers are 2 pieces with a break in the middle. Make sure these are firmly connected.
• If plugging into a power strip, make sure the power strip is plugged in and turned on.

Using a docking station

• Check that the docking station is plugged in.
  • Dell docking stations have a round power connector that connects to the dock and should also plug into the wall.
  • The power adapter for the TrippLite docks should go between the wall and the port labeled PD Charge

Reboot your laptop

• If all the wires are plugged in correctly and it still will not charge, reboot the laptop and check if it is charging.
