BEFORE you leave school, perform the following steps

  • Connect to Berman-Staff wifi network
    • Click the “Sphere” icon in the lower right corner of the screen
    • Click on Berman-Staff
    • Check the “Connect automatically” box and click Connect
    • Your username and password are the same as you use to log into a Berman computer. If you have never logged into a computer, it will be the initial password you were given.
  • After connecting to wifi, click “Other user” in the lower left corner to log in
    • Enter your username and password and press Enter
If you do not do these steps before leaving school, you will not be able to log into the computer unless you return to school.

After you have logged in (this can be done after you leave school)

  • Click on Start (Windows icon in lower left corner)
  • Then click “Google Drive”
  • You will be prompted to log in. Use your Berman email address and password.
  • After logging in, you should see a notification that your files are loading followed by a Welcome window.
  • Click through the tour and on the last page click the Open button
  • Now you should see a window showing your Google Drive mapped as a folder on your computer.
This is the recommended location for saving ALL of your files. This ensures they are backed up. Files saved on your C: drive (including on your Desktop, Documents folder, Downloads folder, Pictures folder, etc.) are not backed up and are subject to loss in the event of computer loss, damage, and certain computer maintenance operations.
